Maruti Suzuki will display an array of 16 vehicles at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023 including an Electric Concept SUV, two all-new SUVs, WagonR Flex Fuel prototype and its customised range of existing products like Grand Vitara, XL6, Ciaz, Ertiga, Brezza, Baleno, and Swift among others.
Maruti Suzuki's all-electric SUV concept: Codenamed the YY8 concept, this all-electric SUV concept from Maruti Suzuki will be the brand's show-stopper at the Auto Expo 2023. Co-developed with Toyota, the YY8 electric SUV will be a global product that will offer an estimated range of 500km. Radical and futuristic, the YY8 concept will measure over 4200mm in length and will have a wheelbase of 2700mm. The electric SUV will be underpinned by the 27PL platform (a derivative of Toyota's 40PL global platform) with an expected rollout in 2025.5-Door Jimny: The production version of the 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny will finally be showcased at this year's expo. The Jimny 5-door which is based on the global 3-door Jimny gets a longer wheelbase, two more doors and a bigger bodyshell than its 3-door sibling. Key details include a sliding rear window, a fixed third window, chunky wheel arches, flap-type door handles, alloy wheels and black bumpers.The Jimny 5-door will come with a 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine that will develop around 102 bhp of power and 137 Nm of torque. The 1.5-liter engine will be similar to the one in the Vitara Brezza, but tuned to give a bit more torque. Gearbox options will include a five-speed manual and a four-speed torque converter automatic. Read more about the Jimny hereBaleno Cross SUV: The Baleno Cross will be a rugged-looking crossover. Based on the Baleno hatchback, the Baleno Cross will get a design inspired by the Grand Vitara while sharing its interior and powertrain options with the Baleno. The Baleno Cross will also get SUV-inspired bits like higher ground clearance, rugged wheel arches and more.
